Day Two - Day at Sea - Your On-Board Routine

< >

Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.

During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Ventura. As a group, Limitless travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a movie. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.

Day Three - Day at Sea - Ventura Pools and Facilities

< >

If you enjoy a dip or a refreshing plunge, the Ventura is the place to be. With four pools and hoist equipment, the ship ensures everyone can cool off as the temperatures rise. If you want to go for a swim, chat with your Tour Manager and they will help arrange it.

The Ventura’s Oasis Spa is a great option for those who love a little pampering, too. Go on, treat yourself while on holiday! Alternatively, book a slot at the salon and get your nails done or head to the barbers for a traditional straight razor shave.

Cruise - Ventura

Day Four - Day at Sea - Ventura Entertainment

< >

The Ventura is renowned for its entertainment and, with more than eight entertainment venues to choose from, you’re never lacking in things to do. The incredibly popular interactive gameshow, Wavelength, is always a hit, while the Arena Theatre shows a combination of movies and live productions throughout the day and into the night.

There’s plenty of live music, comedy, cabaret and magic to enjoy, too. The luxurious Tamarind Club always puts on a great show, while the Cuban-themed Havana Club plays those irresistible salsa rhythms and serves up refreshing mojitos. And, if you’re feeling lucky, the on-board casino awaits.

Funchal, Madeira, Botanical Gardens
Madeira

Day Five - Funchal, Madeira

< >

Few port stops benefit from such a beautiful on-water approach, so we highly recommend you find a good viewing spot as the ship pulls into the Madeiran port of Funchal. The birthplace of Christiano Ronaldo and a wonderfully tranquil and atmospheric city, Funchal is a pleasure to explore. While much of the city centre is accessible, the steep, narrow lanes leading up and out of the centre are more challenging.

Accessible buses take visitors from the port to the city in just 10 minutes. With plenty of shops, restaurants and street music to enjoy, as well as historic churches and traditional architecture, Funchal is a firm favourite among Limitless travellers. Don’t forget to pick up some famous Madeira wine!

Santa Cruz, Tenerife
Santa Cruz

Day Six - Santa Cruz de la Palma, La Palma

< >

Maybe the Canaries’ best-kept secret, Santa Cruz de la Palma is a spectacularly beautiful town and a real pleasure to explore. Spread along the coastline and backed by verdant hills, it boasts colourful streets with plantlife spilling from balconies and window boxes, palm-lined plazas, and a kilometre-long promenade.

The town centre is just 10 minutes from the ship and there are plenty of shopping opportunities and lunch options within a short, easy stroll or roll. Having explored the centre, the Limitless group often heads down to the accessible beach, passing a replica of Christopher Colombus’ ship along the way.

Day Seven - Santa Cruz, Tenerife

< >

Welcome to Tenerife - the largest of the Canary Islands and home to the spectacular Mount Teide volcano and surrounding rock-strewn lunar landscapes. We’ll dock in Santa Cruz, the island’s capital, where you will discover a vibrant beachside city with endless bars and restaurants, and some gorgeous local architecture.

The city is easy to reach from the port and our Limitless group often stops at one of the brilliant beachfront bars on the way to get a light lunch. Tenerife is a dream stop for those who love a little shopping. It’s the port where you’ll get the best prices on items like electronics and perfumes, and is typically cheaper than on the ship. If you’re happy to separate from the group, you can visit the accessible botanical gardens and enjoy the local flora. Alternatively, if you want a little sun, sand and sea, the city’s local taxis can take you out to the accessible Playa de las Teresitas beach. It features accessible beach paths, ramps, restrooms, and showers.

Day Eight - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

< >

Today, we arrive in Gran Canaria, the most densely populated and naturally diverse of the Canary Islands. Spain’s ninth-largest city, Las Palmas is often considered to have the best climate in the world and boasts a vibrant bar and restaurant scene to boot. We’ll dock at the Santa Catalina cruise terminal, which offers easy access to both the city and the nearby Muelle shopping complex.

Together, we’ll explore the city’s old quarter, Vegueta, discovering the iconic Catedral de Santa Ana and stopping for a bite to eat in a relaxed, sun-drenched plaza as we go. We’ll also head over to the Playa de las Canteras - an accessible beach with disabled toilets and beach wheelchairs. If you prefer a full beach day, you can simply head to the Playa de las Canteras as soon as you disembark the ship. If you’re into marine wildlife, you could also visit the Poema del Mar aquarium, which features disabled access and toilets throughout.

Arrecife
Arrecife

Day Nine - Arrecife, Lanzarote

< >

Lanzarote’s otherworldly volcanic landscapes have enchanted and amazed visitors for centuries. Famed for its incredible rock formations, black sand beaches and palm-lined promenades, the island is also home to Arrecife, its sleepy capital city with a delightfully chilled approach to life.

On leaving the ship, the Limitless group typically enjoys a relaxed 30-minute walk into the city centre, though accessible transport is also available. There, you can tuck into some tapas in an atmospheric shaded sidestreet, marvel at the local architecture, and enjoy a little wallet-friendly tax-free shopping.

Day Ten - Day at Sea - Ventura Restaurants and Bars

< >

With 21 restaurants and bars, you’re spoiled for choice aboard the Ventura. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch at the Poolside Pizzeria, want to enjoy the best of contemporary Indian cuisines at Sindhu, or fancy dressing up for a refined dining experience at Epicurean, you’re sure to enjoy the ship’s excellent dining venues.

While many of the Ventura’s restaurants are included in your full-board package, some venues require diners to pay a small surcharge. These dining experiences often include special dinnertime entertainment or a distinctive menu.

Cadiz
Cadiz

Day Eleven - Cadiz, Spain

< >

The oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe, an intriguing blend of Hispanic and Arabic influences, and one of the most unique and enjoyable city cultures in Spain, Cadiz is an unforgettable destination. While the locals are known for their wit, humour and relaxed approach to life, the streets are famed for their blissful, sun-swept beauty.

On arriving in Cadiz, we recommend heading to the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, one of the city’s main squares and the perfect place to get to grips with its complex history. An 18th-century masterpiece that mixes architectural styles, Cadiz’s cathedral is accessible via a wheelchair ramp and is certainly worth a visit. As is the seafront promenade, with its endless photo opportunities, historic fortifications and excellent botanical gardens. While some city streets are cobbled, they are relatively smooth as cobbles go, and do not usually pose too much of a problem for wheelchair users. On the whole, Cadiz is wonderfully accessible and a joy to explore.

Lisbon
Lisbon

Day Twelve - Lisbon, Portugal

< >

One of Europe’s trendiest cities and a popular destination for foodies, sun-seekers, history fans and culture vultures alike, Lisbon offers visitors a little bit of everything. Iconic yellow trams rumble through postcard-perfect streets, locals linger over a deliciously long alfresco lunch, and melancholic fado music seeps from darkened bars come evening time. Outrageously beautiful and packed full of fascinating sights, sounds and sensations, Lisbon is a one-of-a-kind port stop.

As part of the Limitless Lisbon experience, you can join an accessible 90-minute walking tour that takes you from the port to the country’s largest square, Praça do Comércio. After, you’ll enjoy a private wine-tasting experience and sample the local fish cakes and legendary pastéis de nata - Lisbon’s delightful custard tarts. Limitless travellers can then explore the local area, grabbing a little more food, shopping, or checking out one of Lisbon’s many historical sites. If you don’t fancy joining the Limitless excursion, Hop-On, Hop-Off buses tour the city, though only one wheelchair spot is available on each vehicle.

They stock products from some of the most respected brands on the market, making it easy to while away a morning browsing the ship’s boutiques for a fantastic holiday memento.

For those who enjoy a little culture, the on-board art gallery is certainly worth a visit. There, you’ll find a host of paintings, collectables and other artworks that are sure to delight. You may even end up taking one home with you!

Day Fourteen - Day at Sea - Sailing Home

< >

By now, you will have spent several days exploring the Ventura and enjoying the facilities, activities and entertainment. But we guarantee there are still things you’re yet to see, do or find. Have you checked out the onboard art gallery? Eaten at all the restaurants? Taken part in the quiz show?

As we make our way back to Southampton, this is a great opportunity to check out those parts of the ship you’re yet to see or return to your favourite spots. Have a chat with your Tour Manager in the morning and organise the perfect day.
