Sardinia's capital, Cagliari, is a visually stunning destination with a rich history dating back to Roman times. As the island's main cruise port, it offers a treasure trove of museums, historic churches, and ancient artifacts. Many of the city's remarkable attractions can be discovered on foot in the walled Castello district, known for its charming alleyways and spacious piazzas. Vibrant yellow, ochre, and terracotta buildings line the streets, creating a picturesque setting. Indulge in fresh seafood at one of the city's excellent restaurants or head to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, where lively bars and ice cream shops await.
Today’s journey at sea offers another opportunity to take full advantage of the ship’s fantastic onboard facilities. If your visit to Italy has sparked culinary inspiration, why not join one of the onboard cookery classes and hone your skills?
Dominated by its iconic Gothic cathedral, Palma, the Majorcan capital and a key cruise port, has evolved into one of the Mediterranean's most sophisticated destinations. In this walkable city, upscale boutiques sit alongside traditional Balearic restaurants and lively tapas bars. Begin at the harbour, where luxury yachts line the water, and make your way to the breathtaking cathedral—a masterpiece 500 years in the making. Surrounding this historic landmark are charming side streets and alleys that reflect the city’s rich cultural heritage and Moorish influences. A short stroll from the old town takes you to Passeig d’es Born, a bustling avenue lined with cafes where you can savor ensaimadas, the island’s signature spiral pastry.
An ancient city with a name steeped in history, Cartagena was founded over 2,200 years ago by the Carthaginian leader Hasdrubal. Today, it stands as one of Spain’s busiest commercial hubs, yet its rich historical heritage is immediately evident. As your ship approaches the harbour, you’ll spot towering fortresses guarding the coastline. In the heart of the old town, remnants of the original Carthaginian castle and sections of the ancient city walls await discovery.
Cartagena seamlessly blends its storied past with modern innovation. The newly developed harborfront is home to the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology, a one-of-a-kind attraction. The city also boasts impressive Modernist architecture, vibrant shopping streets, and a flourishing culinary scene. Amid these contemporary highlights, you’ll find ancient sites that lay buried for centuries, offering a fascinating window into Cartagena’s remarkable history.
Gibraltar is a beloved Mediterranean cruise port for Britons, offering a true "home away from home" experience. Its appeal goes beyond excellent pubs and tax-free shopping, where popular purchases include glassware, china, leather goods, alcohol, perfume, silk, and cashmere garments.
A cruise to Gibraltar also provides breathtaking views of the Bay of Gibraltar and the Moroccan mountains from the Rock Restaurant, accessible by cable car from the Grand Parade. If you’re planning to take the cable car, we recommend booking in advance, as it can get very busy. Please note that Limitless staff may not be able to accompany you on this excursion, as we will remain with the group exploring the town. For further details or assistance, feel free to contact us at 0800 711 7112.
As you begin your journey back home, you'll have more time to enjoy the ship's amenities. If you haven't already, consider booking a meal at one of the many specialty restaurants, such as Sindhu. In elegant and luxurious surroundings, Sindhu’s expert chefs will take you on a delicately spiced odyssey that celebrates the best of contemporary Indian cuisine. Alternatively if asian flavours aren't for you why not enjoy a British cream tea, while watching the world pass you by. While these restaurants do have an additional charge, the exceptional food speaks for itself.
On your last full day aboard, savour the remaining delights you are yet to experience. Explore any overlooked on board attractions or revisit a favoured restaurant. As we sail home, it's also the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow Limitless guests to share photos and stories, creating cherished, lasting memories.
