Day 2 At Sea
Limitless cruises
Exploring the Apex

Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.

During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Apex. As a group, Limitless Travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a movie. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.

Day 3 Stavanger, Norway
Stavanger
Stavanger
Port Visit

Land ahoy! Once a Viking stronghold, Stavanger is famed for the beautiful wooden homes that line the streets of the historic city centre. The port is a flat, 10-minute walk from the city centre and there are plenty of local restaurants and bars close by, making it a great opportunity to sample deliciously authentic Norwegian cuisine.

The city market is the place to pick up mementoes, while the imposing Stavanger Cathedral is Norway’s oldest, and the picturesque Blue Promenade is fantastic for a post-lunch stroll or roll. The wheelchair-accessible Hop-On, Hop-Off bus tours several of Stavanger’s main attractions but there are limited spaces and Limitless Travellers will need to book independently to guarantee a place.

Day 4 Ålesund, Norway
20250513 114611 (1)
Port Visit

Famous for its unique architecture, Ålesund is the cultural centre of the Sunnmøre region and a relaxed and atmospheric town. Having burned down in 1904, the entire town was rebuilt in the Art Nouveau style, making it one of the most distinctive port stops on your holiday. The approach to the port includes a scenic journey through the Geirangerfjord, and the town centre is just 10 minutes from the dock. We often take a short walk around the prettiest areas before stopping for lunch and a spot of shopping.

Both the Art Nouveau Centre and the open-air Sunnmøre Museum are also accessible.
The local wheelchair-friendly Hop-On, Hop-Off bus also tours several local attractions. However, spaces are limited and Limitless Travellers will need to book their place independently and in advance.

Day 5 Olden, Norway
Olden
Port Visit

Nestled at the end of the majestic Innvikfjorden - one of Norway's most iconic fjords - Olden is a sensationally pretty town surrounded by spectacularly beautiful mountains. It’s also home to the Skylift, a fully accessible cable car that climbs almost 1,000 metres to the peak of Mt. Hoven. At the top, the views of the fjord and surrounding mountains are unforgettable. There’s also a restaurant with warming log fires, so you can sit back and soak up the vista over a nice bite to eat.

If you’re not keen on the cable car, Olden town centre is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the ship. There, you’ll find a few shops, restaurants and bars, and can relax and enjoy the landscape at a lower altitude. You’re also welcome to stay aboard the Iona and spend the day enjoying its excellent facilities.

Day 6 Arctic Circle
Artic Circle
Cruising

Crossing into the Arctic Circle puts us at the very edge of our ocean-going capabilities and situates you in a landscape dominated by ice, towering mountains and jagged, fjord-indented coastline. This is a seascape like no other - a place where the sun never sets in summer and the Aurora Borealis electrifies the sky. Cruising these cold waters is an experience you’ll never forget.

Fortunately, the ship is designed to ensure you get the most from your time in the Arctic Circle, too. With plenty of viewing spaces and all the comforts and luxuries you associate with modern cruise liners, it’s the best possible place from which to soak up and marvel at this incredible environment.

Day 7 Tromsø, Norway
20250513 120154
Port Visit

Though it’s a fair way north of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø boasts a remarkably mild climate for its latitude. While ice-free waters and westerly winds mean this vibrant city (it has the most bars per capita in all of Norway) may be a little warmer than usual, there’s still plenty of snow!

Tromsø boasts several excellent accessible attractions, including the local Troll Museum. Trolls play a crucial role in Norwegian folklore and legend and this brilliant museum explains why while also introducing visitors to many of its most famous troll-related tales. Alternatively, the Polar Museum details the expeditions, adventures and everyday lives of Arctic explorers from the 17th century to the modern day.

Day 8 Honningsvag, Norway
Honningsvag
Honningsvag
Port Visit

A small fishing port and the gateway to the north, Honningsvag is technically Norway’s northernmost city despite only having a population of 2,245. Close to the rich fisheries of the Barents Sea, it is also a popular cruise port and a busy stop on the local public coastal route, up and down which ships ferry local passengers between towns.

The entry point to Norway’s Nordkapp (North Cape), the northernmost part of mainland Europe, Honningsvag is home to an excellent North Cape Museum, which details the region’s history, culture and significance. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore, too. Limitless Travellers can also arrange a private tour to the North Cape itself, though this will need to be organised independently.

Day 9 Arctic Circle
Celebrity Cruises Apex
Cruising

With a second day at sea in the Arctic Circle, you have another opportunity to enjoy these sensational surroundings. The icy landscape may seem unforgiving, but plenty of life thrives here. While you’re likely to see an impressive array of seabirds wheeling above the water, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for other creatures, too. Though it’s by no means guaranteed, it’s possible you will see walruses, seals, and maybe even polar bears.

A day at sea also means you can make the most of the ship’s facilities. So talk to your Tour Manager to check out what the group has planned and whether you want to organise any other activities for the day.

Day 10 Trondheim, Norway
20250513 124956(0) (2)
Port Visit

Norway’s third-largest city and historic capital, Trondheim is an excellent destination that’s packed full of fascinating history, intriguing attractions and great cafes. The Bakklandet - Trondheim’s old town - is a charmingly pretty part of the city with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. However, Limitless Travellers should be aware that some streets are cobbled.

The city also boasts several accessible landmarks and attractions. Most notably, Nidaros Cathedral is Scandinavia’s largest medieval building and the site where new regents are crowned. Beside the cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace houses the country’s impressive crown jewels and museum. Limitless Travellers can purchase discount combination tickets that guarantee access to all these attractions at a reduced price.

Day 11 Molde, Norway
Molde, Norway
Molde, Norway
Port Visit

Nestled between fjords and mountains, Molde is a charming Norwegian town known for its sweeping panoramas and vibrant gardens. Nicknamed The City of Roses, it offers a peaceful and scenic stop, with colourful blooms lining the streets during the warmer months and spectacular views across 222 snow-capped mountain peaks from the famous Varden viewpoint.

Whether you're exploring the accessible waterfront promenade, enjoying a coffee with a view, or simply soaking in the tranquil atmosphere, Molde is a gentle and beautiful introduction to everyday life in coastal Norway. The Limitless team will be on hand throughout the visit to offer support and assistance, ensuring you can relax and enjoy every moment.

Day 12 Geiranger, Norway
Geirangerfjord
Geirangerfjord
Port Visit

Carved from the rock over several ice ages, Geirangerfjord is one of the county’s most iconic fjords. Flanked by steep mountainsides and famed for its tumbling waterfalls, this is Norway at its most awesome. Keep your eyes peeled for the epic De Syv Søstrene (The Seven Sisters), Friaren (The Suitor) and Brudesløret (The Bridal Veil) falls, in particular.

Your port stop for the day is Geiranger, a small hamlet at the end of the fjord with a few restaurants and a much-loved troll sculpture. There are several shops where you can pick up souvenirs, too. However, the big draw is the cruising. Make sure you’ve got a good view for your arrival at and departure from the village, as it’s a truly memorable experience.

Day 13 Bergen, Norway
Bergen
Bergen
Port Visit

Norway’s second city, Bergen, is a remarkable port that combines breathtaking natural surroundings with a culturally rich and vibrant town centre. Nestled among seven mountains and situated at the heart of a labyrinth network of fjords, it was an influential trading port for much of its past, as reflected in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen wharf, where colourful wooden buildings line the waterfront.

The city fish market is a popular destination, as delicious seafood is guaranteed, while the Bergen Maritime Museum offers a glimpse into the city’s historic significance and is accessible throughout. The Fløyen Funicular Railway is also wheelchair accessible and takes visitors 320 metres up above the city to Fløyen. However, Limitless Travellers will need to arrange this independently.

Day 14 At Sea
20250511 081743 (1)
Onboard Entertainment

Equipped with a 20ft 4k wrap-around LED screen that’s regularly integrated into shows and performances, The Theater is the Apex’s flagship entertainment venue and boasts one of the most modern designs you’ll find anywhere on the water. From multi-sensory spectacles to Broadway-style shows, it’s home to an enormously diverse range of entertainment.

The Apex also boasts The Club - a multi-use venue with a great dance floor that hosts everything from gaming competitions to DJ performances and smaller productions. Following your final breakfast aboard the ship, the Limitless team will assist with check-out. The ship’s crew will take down your bags, and we’ll help you disembark, make sure you reach your pick-up, and say our farewells. Your transfer will then get you home, dropping you off at your front door.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.

Which side of the ship is best for fjords?

On our Norwegian fjord cruises, both sides of the ship typically guarantee spectacular views of the fjords. However, selecting the “best” side of the ship often depends on the itinerary specifics.

Generally, the starboard (right-hand) side might be slightly better if you’re cruising north and the port (left-hand) side if you’re heading south. In both instances, this is because that side of the ship will spend more time facing the coastline.

Modern cruise ships are designed to maximize visibility and the open decks and public viewing areas guarantee everyone has access to striking 360-degree vistas. On Limitless Norwegian Fjords Cruises, there are always plenty of opportunities to use these facilities.

Is the sea rough in the Norwegian fjords?

The waters in the Norwegian fjords are generally much calmer than the open sea, thanks to the fjords' narrow and sheltered characteristics. This makes Norwegian fjord cruises an excellent choice for those concerned about sea sickness.

The cruise ship will be out on the open sea when travelling to, from and between fjords. Here, rougher seas are possible but entirely dependent on the weather, conditions, and season. Modern cruise ships are well-equipped with stabilisers to counteract rougher seas and minimise the motion you feel, ensuring a comfortable onboard experience.

What Limitless Travellers Say

Brilliant experience for mum and myself

Mary the tour leader and carers Tracey Jocelyn and Sain were all amazing. They all went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you so much ladies for make it such an enjoyable holiday for us all.

I went on a Norwegian Fjords cruise last year

Limitless travel were fantastic, couldn't fault them, though its pricey, I personally don't mind paying for the convenience of having everything done for you, especially when you have a disability that would otherwise stop you from doing things.

Takes the stress out traveling with a disability

I would definitely recommend Limitless to anyone with limited abilities as it takes a whole load of stress out of travel.
