We'll then help you with your luggage before boarding our accessible coach and making our way to Bristol. If using a wheelchair, you can transfer to a standard seat or remain in the comfort of your own chair. They'll be plenty of rest stops along the way to ensure your journey is a comfortable one. Upon arrival at the hotel, indulge in complimentary tea and coffee before checking in and proceeding to the dining room, where a delicious three-course meal awaits.
Today's itinerary includes a visit to the SS Great Britain, an exceptional museum and pioneering passenger steamship designed by the visionary Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It held the title of the world's largest passenger ship from 1845 to 1854.
Following our exploration, we'll pause for lunch and spend the afternoon immersing ourselves in the dockyard's vibrant atmosphere, where numerous independent shops and galleries beckon. In the evening, we'll return to the hotel for a delectable evening meal, followed by entertainment provided by your Tour Manager to round off a wonderful first full day in Somerset.
Today we'll be heading to Aldwick Estate. This sprawling estate boasts a vineyard spanning numerous acres, and our day begins with an exclusive guided tour, offering a glimpse into the artistry of winemaking. Sample a selection of their wines, or opt for refreshing non-alcoholic alternatives.
Following this delightful experience, we'll spoil you with a sumptuous picnic hamper lunch, brimming with local charcuterie, artisan Somerset cheeses, homemade red onion marmalade, crudités and dip, Cheddar strawberries and cream, and your choice of Aldwick still wine or a non-alcoholic beverage.
Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside! There’s nothing quite like feeling the sea breeze and strolling or rolling down the promenade, so we’re heading to Weston-super-Mare for Day Two of your holiday. With its long stretches of sandy beaches, iconic Grand pier and traditional seaside attractions, this famous coastal resort is the perfect place to spend a day in the sun. While you’re here, why not enjoy a classic cream tea on the pier.
Today marks the conclusion of your Somerset and Seaside Tour. Following a delicious home cooked breakfast, our accessible coach will commence its journey, making stops at various drop-off locations across the UK. As you savour the final glimpses of the South West through your window, your Tour Manager will provide some engaging commentary of the views. All of our vehicles are 100% accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. They are fitted with either a ramp or a hydraulic lift and wheelchairs can be clamped into place, so there's no need to transfer out of your wheelchair if that's where you're more comfortable. Travellers who do not use a wheelchair are also welcome to use the ramp or lift to access the coach.
