Your cruise begins! Whether you’ve made use of the complimentary parking or an accessible Limitless transfer, our team will meet you at the cruise terminal to help you board the Ventura. We’ll unload your luggage, help you check in and support you through the terminal, ensuring everything is taken care of from the moment you arrive. By the time you reach your accessible cabin, your luggage will be on its way to you and you’ll be introduced to your cabin steward. The Limitless Team can help you unpack, settle in and make a cup of tea, so you're ready to enjoy the Iona's departure from Southampton.

Exploring the Ventura

Your first day at sea is all about exploring Ventura and settling in.

Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short on company.

Together, we might use the accessible pools, meet for coffee, test your quizzing skills, watch a theatre performance or explore a new part of the ship. How involved you are is entirely up to you. You can spend the whole day with the group, dip in and out of activities, join everyone for breakfast or dinner, or enjoy the ship completely independently.

Whatever you choose, your Tour Manager and care team will be nearby whenever you need assistance, company or help making arrangements. Ventura may be big, but travelling with a friendly Limitless Group makes the experience feel reassuringly personal.

Day 3 At Sea

Accessible Swimming and Relaxation at Sea

If you enjoy a dip or a refreshing plunge, the Ventura is the place to be. With four pools and hoist equipment, the ship ensures everyone can cool off as the temperatures rise. On one of our sea days, we’ll organise for the group to enjoy the ship’s accessible swimming pools together. Selected pools aboard Ventura have pool hoists, enabling travellers who cannot use the steps to transfer into the water.

If you require assistance, the Limitless Team will be there to help with the pool hoist, getting changed and accessing the facilities. Our Personalised Holiday Support Team can also provide practical assistance with swimming where required, helping more travellers enjoy time in the water.

You can join the group for the full experience, stop by for a short swim or choose to spend the day elsewhere aboard the ship. Ventura also boasts whirlpool spas, treatment rooms, comfortable lounges and plenty of peaceful places to relax with an ocean view.

As Ventura carries you towards your next destination, today is a chance to experience more of the ship’s world-class entertainment. With more than eight venues to choose from, you’re never lacking in things to do. The popular interactive gameshow, Wavelength, is always a hit, while the Arena Theatre shows a combination of movies and live productions throughout the day and into the night.

There’s plenty of live music, comedy, cabaret and magic to enjoy, too. The luxurious Tamarind Club always puts on a great show, while the Cuban-themed Havana Club plays those irresistible salsa rhythms and serves up refreshing mojitos. And, if you’re feeling lucky, the on-board casino awaits.

Your Tour Manager will help you explore the entertainment programme, make bookings and organise opportunities for the group to enjoy shows and events together. You can join in as much or as little as you like, with the freedom to spend the day entirely at your own pace.

Few port stops offer such a beautiful approach from the water, so find a comfortable viewing spot as you sail into Funchal. Madeira’s capital is nestled between spectacular hillsides and the Atlantic Ocean, and is known for its subtropical gardens, historic streets and dramatic setting.

Today’s private group excursion includes a journey aboard the Funchal Cable Car. As you travel towards Monte, you’ll enjoy panoramic views across the city, harbour and breathtaking coastline. After returning to the city, you will have time to enjoy lunch, explore the local shops or visit the colourful Mercado dos Lavradores, Funchal’s famous farmers’ market.

The Limitless Team will accompany the group and provide support throughout the experience.

Limitless Destination Experience

Welcome to Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands and home to the spectacular Mount Teide volcano and its dramatic lunar landscapes. We’ll dock in Santa Cruz, the island’s capital, where palm-lined streets, attractive architecture and warm year-round weather make it one of our guests’ favourite destinations.

Your Tour Manager will lead an optional accessible experience through the city’s relaxed plazas and historic landmarks. The route passes the Museum of Nature and Archaeology, where travellers can discover more about the island’s geological origins, natural history and indigenous Guanche inhabitants.

Alternatively, you can explore independently and visit the botanical gardens or spend time at Playa de las Teresitas, an accessible beach with golden sands and calm waters.

Day 7 Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

Today we arrive in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria’s lively capital, known for its welcoming plazas, palm-lined streets and attractive Atlantic coastline. We dock at the Santa Catalina cruise terminal, providing convenient access to the surrounding cafés, bars and Muelle shopping centre.

The group will also have the opportunity to discover Vegueta, the city’s historic quarter, where highlights include the impressive Catedral de Santa Ana and inviting squares where you can stop for something to eat. Alternatively, you could head to Playa de las Canteras, an accessible city beach with disabled toilets and beach wheelchairs, subject to local availability.

You can explore with your fellow travellers or enjoy the destination independently, and the Limitless Team will support you in arranging your day.

Day 8 Arrecife, Lanzarote

Limitless Destination Experience

Lanzarote’s otherworldly volcanic landscapes have enchanted visitors for centuries. Famed for its dramatic rock formations, black-sand beaches and palm-lined promenades, the island is also home to Arrecife, a relaxed capital with a welcoming atmosphere.

On leaving the ship, your Tour Manager will lead an optional accessible experience through the city centre. You’ll explore the waterfront promenade, pass El Charco de San Ginés, Arrecife’s picturesque lagoon and fishing harbour, and see the city’s main church, Iglesia de San Ginés.

Along the way, you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy local tapas, admire the island’s distinctive architecture and browse the shops.

A well-earned day at sea is a chance to rest, relax and sample the best of the ship’s onboard cuisine.

With 21 restaurants and bars, you’re spoiled for choice aboard the Ventura. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch at the Poolside Pizzeria, want to enjoy the best of contemporary Indian cuisines at Sindhu, or fancy dressing up for a refined dining experience at Epicurean, you’re sure to enjoy the ship’s excellent dining venues.

While many of the Ventura’s restaurants are included in your full-board package, some venues require diners to pay a small surcharge. These dining experiences often include special dinnertime entertainment or a distinctive menu. The Limitless Team will always let you know what time and where the group are meeting for dinner, but there's no pressure to join if you fancy dining elsewhere.

Private Excursion - Guided City Tour

With its iconic yellow trams, colourful streets, historic squares and bustling cafés, Lisbon is one of Europe’s most atmospheric cities.

Today’s Limitless-exclusive excursion follows an accessible route from the port towards Praça do Comércio, Portugal’s magnificent waterfront square. Along the way, you’ll experience Lisbon’s history, architecture and distinctive character alongside your Tour Manager and fellow Limitless Travellers.

The experience also includes a private wine tasting accompanied by local fish cakes and Lisbon’s legendary pastéis de nata. Afterwards, you will have time to enjoy more of the surrounding area. You might browse the shops, stop for lunch, explore a nearby historical attraction or relax with a coffee and watch the world go by.

Lisbon’s hills and traditional pavements can make some areas challenging to navigate, but the Limitless Team will accompany the group and provide support throughout the experience.

During the cruise, P&O will host its Celebration Night - a fantastic opportunity to dress for the occasion and experience Ventura at her most spectacular.

With this in mind, why not spend the day relaxing in preparation for the special evening ahead? As the event approaches, the Limitless Team can support you with getting ready, if this forms part of your agreed care arrangements.

In the evening, we’ll come together as a group for dinner before enjoying the excellent ship-wide Celebration Night atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to dress up, enjoy a fantastic meal and take a few group photographs.

Dressing for the occasion is encouraged, but more casual venues remain available if you would prefer a relaxed evening. P&O will confirm the exact date of the Celebration Night closer to departure.

Your Final Day aboard Ventura

Your final day at sea is a chance to return to your favourite parts of Ventura or to explore those you’re yet to discover.

Why not participate in an arts and crafts class, attend a talk, sign up for the interactive game show, browse the onboard shops or enjoy a thrilling theatrical performance? Alternatively, settle into the comfortable sofas in one of the ship's many lounges and enjoy the awe-inspiring ocean views.

Your Tour Manager will be available to help with activities and arrangements, while the Limitless Team will begin helping everyone prepare for the journey home. In the evening, we’ll come together for our final group dinner, share memories from the holiday and enjoy one last night aboard Ventura.

Home Pick-Up & Drop-Off

Our accessible taxi transfers guarantee a stress-free start to your holiday. A door-to-door service, it ensures getting to and from the cruise terminal is easier than ever by using ramp-accessible vehicles with plenty of room for luggage and mobility equipment.

For journeys of 125 miles or less, this service is included in the price of your holiday. Additional fees may apply for longer transfers or those travelling from Yorkshire, North East England, or Wales.

FAQs

What’s included in a P&O accessible cabin?

Accessible cabins are available on request. However, they are limited and places sell out quickly. Accessible Outside, Balcony & Mini-Suite Cabins may also be available, though prices will vary. Every accessible cabin features:

  • Wide access doors

  • Space for mobility scooters to be stored

  • Wet room bathrooms with wide door access and grip handles

  • Air conditioning

  • TV, fridge and hairdryer

  • Tea and coffee-making facilities

    An equipment hire service is available and includes powered wheelchairs and hoists.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What is Limitless Group Support & Holiday Assistance?

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.
