Prepare for the spectacular as you board the Aurora ready to voyage to breathtaking scenery like no other. Departing from Southampton, you'll journey north on P&O's state-of-the-art Aurora cruise ship, making the most of the onboard facilities along the way.

Your first port is Andalsnes, Norway. People have been cruising to Andalsnes for more than 120 years because of its stunning location. For, an Alpine town as well as a cruise port, Andalsnes nestles where the towering Romsdal Alps meet the northern end of the sparkling Romsdalfjord which you will get to see following Andalsnes. Then its off to Alta, Home to the Cathedral of the Northern Lights, this is one of the spots you're most likely to catch a glimpse of the polar light show. Next you are whisked of to Tromsø, here you will be just 400km from the Arctic Circle, but do not fret for the destination it has a relatively pleasant climate. The cruise will conclude with the ship making port in Stavanger. Once a Viking stronghold, the city is famed for the beautiful wooden homes that dominate its historic centre.

Throughout your trip, you’ll be accompanied by the Limitless Team, who will provide care, support and assistance as and when you require it. On the ship, if required your cabin can be fully accessible, as are the vast majority of the Aurora's other facilities. With plenty of restaurants and bars, swimming pools, entertainment venues, a steam room and sauna, a large cinema and a casino, there’s plenty to enjoy at sea.

As with most cruises your holiday will start at sea. A day at sea is a fantastic day of relaxation. Start with a leisurely breakfast in your cabin before joining the rest of the group for a coffee or tea in the atrium. Listen to live music, or take part in some of the ships many on-board entertainments including bingo. There is always something going on, on Aurora.

The second sea-day as we cross the North Sea. Don't worry about the cold outside, for Aurora has the Neptune pool with a retractable roof! There is a chair-hoist, which the Limitless Care team can help operate for our guests. This sometimes needs to be pre booked so please reach out to the staff who can help organise this for you.

Land Ahoy! After you have tucked in to a hearty breakfast the Limitless team will be on hand to help everyone disembark and your first destination.

For over 120 years, travellers have been drawn to Andalsnes for its breathtaking location. Serving as both an Alpine town and a cruise port, Andalsnes is nestled at the convergence of the towering Romsdal Alps and the northern end of the glistening Romsdalfjord. This small and welcoming town features shops and markets and is in close proximity to the renowned Trollstigen road. The road winds through picturesque villages, along scenic fjords, and past majestic mountain peaks. It also crosses a stone bridge spanning the cascading Stigfossen waterfall, leading to the Trollvegen (Troll Wall), which, at nearly 6,000 feet, boasts the highest vertical drop in northern Europe.

Today maybe wake to have a continental breakfast served to your room. In the evening then why not head to The Curzon Theatre. This impressive three tier theatre, is located at the very forward end of the ship hosts a variety of west-end style shows, comedians and live music. The perfect way to spend an evening!

Today we arrive in Alta, Home to the Cathedral of the Northern Lights, this is one of the spots you're most likely to catch a glimpse of the polar light show. Other sights include Hjemmeluft, rock carvings that were discovered just 60 years ago that are estimated to be made between 1800 - 6200 years ago.

Today we remain in Alta for another night in port. Today is the perfect day to explore Alta. Alta homes the famous Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, guided tours are available. Accessible excursions are available at extra costs with P&O or potter and explore Alta with help from the Limitless Team.

Tromso

Tromso, Norway

Tromso is our next port. You’re just 400km from the Arctic Circle in Tromsø, but there’s no need to get out your polar gear. Thanks to its position on the Gulf Stream, this lively city (said to have the greatest number of bars per capita in Norway) is relatively mild for its latitude. Such a fascinating town deserves time to explore, and so the ship will be docked here for 2-days!

Today you can enjoy some more time in Tromso before the ship continues around the Fjords. If you're fascinated by the world of snow and ice, the city's Polaria Science Museum is the place to find out all about it. Within its iceberg-shaped walls, you can meet the local wildlife at a vast aquarium, experience an Arctic snowstorm or take a virtual trek through the frozen wilderness to encounter polar bears and see the mystical Northern Lights.

The Aurora is a world-class ship and a favourite among experienced cruisers. It boasts all the facilities you've come to expect of a P&O vessel but also benefits from a slightly more intimate feel. Going from home to holiday has never been easier. We'll pick you in an accessible minibus, transferring you directly to the port where our team will be waiting to assist with check in.

This door to door transfer service is included free of charge each way for journeys within 125 miles of the port. For any journeys greater than 125 miles a charge of £3.25 per mile will apply (up to a maximum distance of 250 miles).

Please note, if you live in the following regions: Yorkshire, North East England, Wales, then an additional charge of £200 may be applied to your booking. This is due to our drivers needing to travel the night before to ensure pick up can be completed at the scheduled time on departure day.
