Feel the Warmth of Lanzarote

Leave the cold British winter behind and discover Lanzarote’s year-round sun, breathtaking volcanic landscapes, bustling harbour towns and accessible beaches. Over eight days, you’ll escape the restrictions winter often imposes on disabled people, and enjoy warmer weather, brighter skies and the excitement of exploring a new destination.

A balanced eight-day itinerary

As well as a day trip to the laid-back coastal town of Puerto del Carmen, you’ll explore the iconic lava landscapes of Timanfaya National Park, then visit a local vineyard to learn about the island’s traditional winemaking process and sample the results. All excursions are planned and vetted by Limitless accessibility experts.

Of course, Limitless Winter Sun holidays are also an opportunity to relax and recharge, so these excursions are balanced with plenty of downtime and restful pool days, too.

Accessible accommodation at Casas Heddy

At the heart of your holiday is the sensational Casas Heddy, a health and wellbeing hotel set amongst peaceful surroundings close to Puerto del Carmen. Two ramp-accessible pools and a range of wellbeing facilities and activities ensure you can make the most of your stay, while the hotel restaurant serves up a deliciously healthy array of dishes at the covered poolside restaurant. Casas Heddy has been hand-picked by the Limitless Team for its excellent accessibility.

Limitless Flight Support

Your holiday begins at your UK airport, where you’ll meet the Limitless Team and your fellow guests at the special assistance desk.

The Limitless Team will accompany you through the airport, working alongside the airport’s special assistance team, providing additional support and advocating on your behalf. We’re with you every step of the way – as you pass through security, head to the departure gate, board the aircraft, and during the flight.

As you touch down in Lanzarote, you’ll get your first taste of the island’s wonderful climate. Gone are the grey skies – here it’s year-round sun, breathtaking volcanic landscapes, palm-lined promenades and beautiful beaches.

On arrival, we’ll support you through the airport and onto our private accessible transfer, which will be waiting to take you to Casas Heddy. After helping you check in and settle comfortably into your room, we’ll come together for our first evening meal. It’s a chance to get to know the group, relax after the journey and enjoy the excitement of your first evening on holiday.

If you would like to know more about flights, the airport experience or airport special assistance, take a look at our FAQs.

Day 2 Accessible Swimming & Poolside Relaxation

Accessible Swimming

Your Lanzarote holiday is as much about relaxing, unwinding and making the most of the fantastic weather and excellent hotel facilities as it is about exploring the island.

Casas Heddy has two ramp-accessible swimming pools, giving guests a more comfortable and inclusive way to enter the water. The Limitless Team is always on hand to provide practical assistance and encouragement, ensuring everyone who wants to swim can.

Whether you need help changing, getting to the pool, entering and leaving the water, or support while swimming, we’ll work to meet your individual needs. You can go for a gentle swim, cool off in the water, or simply experience the freedom of floating beneath the Lanzarote sunshine.

There’s no pressure to swim or follow a schedule. You can relax poolside with a book, join one of the hotel’s activities or spend time getting to know your fellow guests. It’s a gentle, uplifting day that you can spend however you please.

Day 3 Explore Puerto del Carmen with Limitless Support
Puerto del Carmen
Puerto del Carmen

Today, we’ll head to nearby Puerto del Carmen to explore one of Lanzarote’s best-loved coastal towns.

Once a small fishing village, Puerto del Carmen now boasts a bustling harbour, inviting cafés and a vibrant promenade. While there’s plenty to see and do, it’s also a wonderful place to experience the relaxed rhythm of island life.

Enjoy time by the water, browse the shops, or settle into a seafront café with a cold drink and watch the world go by. Alternatively, sample freshly caught seafood or traditional tapas in a local restaurant. There’s no need to rush from one attraction to the next. Instead, you’ll have time to enjoy the town’s sights, sounds and flavours at a comfortable pace, with the Limitless Team there to support you throughout the experience.

On returning to Casas Heddy, we’ll enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner together at the hotel.

Day 4 Volcanic Vineyards and Canarian Wine
Lanzarote

Lanzarote’s vineyards are one of the island’s more surprising attractions. Here, the vines flourish in the island’s fertile black volcanic soil, protected from the Atlantic winds by distinctive curved stone walls.

Today, our accessible transport will take us into this extraordinary landscape to visit a local vineyard. Against a backdrop of dark volcanic earth and rolling hills, you’ll learn how Lanzarote’s winemakers have adapted to the island’s unique conditions and developed a winemaking process and tradition unlike any other.

As part of the visit, you’ll have the chance to sample the locally produced wine while taking in the spectacular views. A relaxing, unhurried experience, your vineyard visit brings together Lanzarote’s dramatic scenery, local heritage and distinctive flavours for a day you will never forget.

After returning to Casas Heddy, you will have time to unwind and enjoy the rest of the afternoon before we come together for dinner.

Day 5 Sunshine Beside the Sea
Customers and Limitless Staff on Scooters in front of the sea in Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Today, we make the most of one of the island’s most beloved natural resources – its accessible beaches!

We will head to your local accessible beach to enjoy the island’s spectacular coastline at a relaxed pace. Spend time beside the water, take in the views across the Atlantic, or sit back and enjoy the sound of the waves. With ramped access to the sea and adapted sea wheelchairs available, you may even opt for a dip.

There’s no demanding schedule to follow, so you can spend your time by the sea any way that feels right for you. When you’re ready for a change of scene, why not visit one of the nearby cafés or bars for a refreshing drink and something to eat? After an easy-going day with plenty of sea, sunshine and island life, we’ll return to the hotel, where you will have time to freshen up before dinner and the evening’s entertainment.

Day 6 Discover Timanfaya National Park
Timanfaya National Park
Timanfaya National Park

To journey through the extraordinary Timanfaya National Park is to experience the awe-inspiring natural forces that brought Lanzarote into existence. At times, it can feel like another world. Black lava fields, rugged craters and sweeping expanses of red, amber and ochre stretch as far as the eye can see, resulting in a dramatic landscape that is utterly unique to Lanzarote.

Today, we explore the park from the comfort of our accessible transport, accompanied by a private English-speaking guide who will bring the park’s geology and fiery history to life. Following the iconic Volcano Route, we’ll travel through areas where the scale, colour and grandeur of the landscape must be seen to be believed.

Along the way, we’ll pause for refreshments and experience more of the island’s scenery, including a stop at the remarkable Salinas de Janubio salt flats. Then it’s back to Casas Heddy for a relaxing evening and dinner.

Day 7 Relax, Recharge & Focus on You
0g4a4808

Today is all about enjoying that holiday state of mind. There are no excursions and no pressure to be anywhere at a particular time. Instead, you can choose how you’d most like to relax, recharge and enjoy your remaining time in Lanzarote.

Make the most of Casas Heddy’s two ramp-accessible pools, peaceful surroundings or wellbeing facilities. Join one of the hotel’s activities, spend time with your fellow guests, or find a quiet place to read your book as you bask in the warmth. Slower days are an important part of the holiday. It gives you time to manage your energy, reflect on everything you’ve experienced, and return home feeling properly rested.

The Limitless Team is always available to provide support and company, but how you spend the day is entirely up to you. This evening, we’ll come together for our final dinner, sharing our favourite moments and celebrating the friendships made along the way.

Day 8 Return Home with Limitless Support
Img 3543 1

After breakfast, we’ll help you prepare for the journey home and make sure you and your mobility equipment are ready for departure.

Our accessible transfer will take the group back to Lanzarote Airport, where the Limitless Team will accompany guests travelling on the designated group flight. We’ll work alongside the airport’s special assistance team and provide support as you make your way through the airport and board the flight home.

You may be leaving Lanzarote behind, but you’ll return with far more than a suntan. You’ll have new experiences, friendships and memories to see you through the rest of winter.

Flights FAQs

Are flights included in the cost of a Limitless short-haul holiday?

No, flights are not included in the cost of your Limitless short-haul holiday. However, we do provide extensive booking support, and your Limitless Personal Travel Advisor is always available to provide information and assist with any matter relating to travel and flights.

How do I book flights for Limitless holidays?

Having booked your Limitless short-haul holiday, we’ll send out flight details approximately three months before the departure date. You are then responsible for booking flights, though assistance and support are always available from your Personal Travel Advisor. You can choose to fly on a different flight to the Limitless Team and your fellow Limitless Travellers, but we will not be able to provide support at the airport or during the flight in this case. We will still arrange an accessible transfer to the hotel for you if you fly independently.

What airports do Limitless fly from and how do I get there?

For short-haul holidays, we aim to have two flight teams – one flying from a London airport and the other flying from an airport further north, typically Birmingham or Manchester. This gives Limitless Travellers greater choice and reduces travel time to and from the airport. The specific airports we use depend on destination, cost, flight availability and departure time. Where possible, we opt for a mid-day flight for your convenience.

Does Limitless organise special assistance at the airport?

Limitless Travellers are responsible for contacting and organising the special assistance team at the airport. The airport’s special assistance team will help you with check-in, security and boarding, and we recommend using their services if possible. Though the special assistance team will manage most of your airport experience, the Limitless Team will also be on hand to accompany you, provide support and advocate on your behalf.

How do the Limitless Team provide support at the airport and while flying?

The Limitless Team will usually meet you at the airport's special assistance desk, collect and handle luggage, and provide any support necessary. If required, we can schedule regular check-ins during the flight. Our team is highly experienced and regularly accompanies Limitless Travellers on international flights. As such, we're able to make sure your journey is smooth and comfortable, and you feel confident travelling. For Limitless short-haul holidays, we guarantee we'll be there to help whenever you need us.

If you opt for the One-to-One Care package, your carer will meet you at the designated airport and provide dedicated support throughout the airport, flight, transfer and holiday.

How do we transfer from the destination airport to the hotel?

We've arranged accessible transport for the drive from your destination airport to the hotel, so you don't have to worry about transfers at all. We use transfer vehicles that have been vetted to ensure accessibility and are equipped with a ramp or hydraulic lift.
