Vigo, Spain

< >

Today after a hearty breakfast you will make port in your first Destination, Vigo. One of Spain's bustling fishing hubs, it is situated on the rugged west coast of the Galicia province. Throughout history, this charming town and its resilient residents have faced numerous naval attacks, including a couple led by Sir Francis Drake. Galicia's largest city is a dynamic modern metropolis, harmonising one of the world's busiest fishing ports with an atmospheric old quarter. It boasts numerous beautiful beaches at its doorstep and a vibrant nightlife scene featuring tapas bars, restaurants, and clubs.

The local seafood, considered among the best in Spain, benefits from the area's unique microclimate. Pulpo (octopus) holds the title of the local favourite, often enjoyed with glasses of Galician Albariño. For seafood enthusiasts, a visit to Ruá de Pescaderia (Fish Street) is a must, where Vigo's renowned women oyster sellers showcase their offerings.

Lisbon, Portugal

< >

Explore vibrant Lisbon, a Limitless favourite. Capture pastel-coloured scenes and savour custard tarts. Cruise the Tagus River for iconic views of Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. In Lisbon's districts—Baixa, Bairro Alto, and Alfama—discover unique charm. Navigate cobblestone streets carefully in Alfama's medieval ambiance. Lisbon's compact size makes it a European gem, rich in inviting shops, cafes, and historic landmarks. Enjoy the city's allure and captivating atmosphere.

Cadiz, Spain

< >

Back on shore today as the ship makes port in Cadiz. Boasting thousands of years of history it has been one of Spain’s most important coastal cities for much of the country’s past. One of the spiritual homes of flamenco, it’s a city with a unique character and visible Arabic heritage, ensuring it’s an enchanting stop on your cruise. Almost entirely surrounded by water, Cadiz is one of the Iberian Peninsula’s hidden gems and a favourite amongst many Spanish travellers. The locals are known for their welcoming, down-to-earth character and the city’s restaurants are seafood specialists, so make sure you sit down for some fresh fish before you leave. For the more adventurous the port of Cadiz is only 90 minutes away from Seville. Limitless will not be taking the guests into Seville as Cadiz is much more accessible, however we would be happy to speak to anyone that would like to go and advise how to arrange this with the cruise line directly.

A Coruna, Spain

< >

A Coruña's Transatlantic Quay, positioned on the northwestern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, holds the surprising distinction of being the closest European port to New York. This charming blend of old and new features beaches along its two-mile coastline. The old town, centred around Maria Pita Square, boasts shops, bars, and restaurants, along with captivating museums like the interactive House of Mankind, an aquarium, and a planetarium. As the main Atlantic gateway to the ruggedly scenic Galicia, A Coruña offers access to Santiago de Compostela, a world-renowned pilgrimage site with a Romanesque cathedral.

Bilbao, Spain

< >

Welcome to Bilbao, the unofficial capital of Basque country in Spain's northwest, and your final port of call. Formerly an industrial hub, the city transformed with the inauguration of the Guggenheim in 1997, making it a centre for exceptional art, architecture, and gastronomy. Today, modern trams traverse historic avenues like the Siete Calles ('Seven Streets') of Casco Viejo, Bilbao's medieval quarter, now adorned with boutiques, bakeries, and outdoor cafés. Meanwhile, futuristic structures such as the titanium-clad Guggenheim Museum and the Gran Hotel Domine overlook the Nervion River that winds through the city. Bilbao stands out in Spain for its unique blend of scenes. Experience the city's charm on a Spain cruise and discover why Bilbao is the pride of Basque Country
