Taking in some of South Wales’s most popular holiday hotspots, our Bays and Botanicals Tour will see you visit the buzzing Welsh capital, Cardiff, take a day trip to the beachfront town of Porthcawl and enjoy the plant life and greenery at the National Botanic Garden. Travelling to Cardiff on our fully accessible coach, you’ll spend the first evening of your holiday settling into your four-star, city-centre hotel and dining together in its fantastic on-site restaurant. On your second day, we’ll make our way to the famous Cardiff Bay (sometimes known as Tiger Bay), where we’ll check out the promenade before boarding an accessible boat for a trip across the water. Later, we’ll visit Cardiff Castle and the brilliant Firing Line Museum.
On Day Three, it’s all about the National Botanic Garden of Wales, with its phenomenal displays and wonderfully green landscapes. With a Bird of Prey Centre, several temporary exhibitions and a charming on-site cafe, there’s plenty to see and do. Your final full day will be spent by the beach, in the lovely town of Porthcawl. Whether you’re sunbathing on the sand, wandering along the promenade or tucking into some fish or chips, it’s a great way to end the tour.

After boarding the accessible coach at one of our UK meeting points, we’ll begin the journey to South Wales. Wheelchair users can opt to remain in their chair, which will be safely secured in place for the duration of the trip, or transfer to a standard seat.
On arrival at your four-star city centre hotel, the Limitless care team will help you check-in and get your bags to your room. Then there’s a little time to relax, settle in and enjoy the hotel before indulging in the first delicious dinner of the holiday.
After getting the day off the perfect start with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we’ll make our way over to Cardiff Bay. Once known as Tiger Bay, this freshwater lake was part of an enormous regeneration project that helped transform the waterfront area. Now home to a remarkable array of attractions and eateries, as well as the seat of the Welsh government, the Senedd Cymru.
At the lake, we’ll board an accessible boat for a guided tour of the waterfront. Later, you'll visit one of the city’s most significant landmarks, Cardiff Castle. Boasting more than 2000 years of fascinating history, the castle hosts the excellent Firing Line Museum - an institution that celebrates the service of soldiers who fought in the 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and The Royal Welsh regiments. Once we’re finished with our action-packed day in the city, we’ll head back to the hotel for our evening meal.
Following breakfast, we’ll board our accessible coach and make the short journey to the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Featuring themed plant collections, a bird of prey centre and fantastic temporary exhibitions, the wheelchair-friendly gardens are a delight to explore.
After visiting the garden’s breathtaking Great Glasshouse, we’ll check out the spectacular views across the water, marvel at the cascading waterfalls and enjoy a striking bird of prey show that will see majestic eagles soar across the landscape. The garden also boasts a delightful cafe and shop, so you can stop for a bite to eat and to pick up a few holiday souvenirs. At the end of the day, we’ll return to the hotel for another tasty dinner.
Today, we’re visiting the wonderful seaside town of Porthcawl. One of the Welsh south coast’s best-kept secrets, it’s a 45-minute drive from Cardiff and situated halfway between the capital and Swansea. Boasting an abundance of cafes, bars and shops, as well as a great waterfront promenade, it’s a traditional seaside treat that’s a pleasure to visit.
While in Porthcawl, make sure you check out the accessible walk that runs behind the main sea wall and soak up the gorgeous views that stretch across the Bristol Channel, all the way to the North Devon coast. Accessible beach wheelchairs are available to rent at Rest Bay and Sandy Bay beaches if you’re looking for classic white sand, chilly seas and ice cream experience. To top off the day, we’ll enjoy a cracking fish and chips lunch. It’s on us!
Today your Welsh Bays and Botanics tour comes to an end. After breakfast, our accessible coach will depart the hotel for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, take in the views through the window and enjoy a little commentary from your Tour Manager. Now all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure.

Travellers who do not use a wheelchair are also welcome to use the ramp or lift to access the coach.
