Relax in the sunshine as you cruise through the Bay of Biscay. Sea days can be spent in any of the four pools on board; with the Riviera Deck aft hosts the much quieter Terrace Pool. All provide the perfect place to relax poolside, watching the waves ahead shimmer in the sun. The Beachcomber pool boasts a retractable roof, so even if the weather should fail you, the pool time fun doesn’t have to stop.
Funchal serves as the perfect starting point for a variety of enriching excursions. These include journeys to the island's captivating botanical gardens, the picturesque fishing village of Camara de Lobos—where even Winston Churchill found inspiration to paint—Camacha, renowned as the wicker center of the region, and the captivating levada walks, which offer a glimpse into an ancient irrigation system. Lastly, don't miss the opportunity to experience traditional afternoon tea at Reids Hotel, making cruises to Madeira an absolute must-see.
Following a delightful breakfast, we dock at La Palma, renowned as the lushest of the Canary Islands. Santa Cruz, a charming small city, is our port of call. You can opt for a leisurely stroll around the picturesque port, taking in its unique charm, or indulge in a complimentary Afternoon Tea aboard the ship while savoring the breathtaking views that surround you.
As we reach Day Seven of our journey, we set our course for Gran Canaria, the most densely populated of the Canary Islands and arguably the most ecologically diverse as well. As we approach this island gem, you'll have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of its captivating natural beauty. Soon, our ship will gracefully dock at the Santa Catalina cruise terminal, marking the beginning of your exploration on this vibrant island.Board Basis on Ventura - Full Board
Lanzarote is synonymous with a sometimes-alien, always-striking natural beauty. Volcanoes and lava fields define the landscape, impossibly-shaped rocks perch on improbably balanced outposts and black sand beaches compete with traditional, tropical palm-lined coast for your attention. A UNESCO Geopark, the island is a fascinating destination that enchants and enthrals all visitors to its volcanic shores.
Ventura will dock in Arrecife, the island’s capital, and you’ll have the entire day to enjoy its sun-washed plazas, cool bars and atmospheric backstreets. If you’re looking for a little bit of local culture, check out the Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo, which features several works from the island’s most influential artist, César Manrique.
Another leisurely day unfolds, offering you ample opportunities to both unwind and discover the many facets of our ship. With an impressive array of 12 onboard restaurants, culinary choices abound. For those who prefer flexibility, the Cinnamon and Saffron restaurants provide the option of Freedom Dining, allowing guests to savour their meals at any time and at a table of their choosing.
Alternatively, the Bay Tree restaurant offers a more traditional Club Dining experience, where passengers have the choice between two fixed sittings, at 6:30 pm or 8:30 pm, dining at the same table each night.Board Basis on Ventura - Full Board
The Portuguese capital reveals some of its most captivating vistas as your ship gracefully cruises along the Tagus River. Along this scenic route, you'll encounter iconic landmarks such as the Belem Tower and the striking Monument to the Discoveries, featuring a prominent statue of Henry the Navigator, before finally reaching the Lisbon cruise port.
Despite its relatively compact size for a European capital, Lisbon does boast a certain sprawl, and it's advisable to focus your exploration on three distinct districts - Baixa, Bairro Alto, and Alfama. Each of these neighbourhoods possesses its own unique charm and style, rendering Lisbon cruises an absolute must-see for those seeking a multifaceted experience of this captivating city.Soard Basis on Ventura - Full Board
