Today marks the beginning of your adventure! Choose to either join our transfer to the cruise port or take advantage of complimentary parking before we embark on P&O's Iona. With its maiden voyage in 2020, Iona is a beloved ship equipped with all the amenities you'd expect from P&O. Featuring 15 guest decks and a plethora of entertainment and dining facilities onboard, there's something to keep everyone entertained.

As we journey towards the Mediterranean, today is dedicated to relaxation onboard! Begin your day with a leisurely continental breakfast in bed or head to the buffet for a selection of cooked and continental options. Today, we make our first stop in La Coruña - one of Galicia’s biggest cities and a major hub for the textiles and fashion industries. Home to international mega-brand, Zara, it boasts an exciting array of shops and boutiques.

It’s not all about the shopping, though. A Coruña is a vibrant and exciting beach town with a fantastic food scene and some of the best seafood in northern Spain. Your ship docks just a seven-minute walk from the central Maria Pita square, where you’ll find a number of delightful cafes, bars and restaurants and also be able to catch a glimpse of the city’s famous Hercules Lighthouse.

As we sail on towards Tenerife, today you will get another chance to enjoy the facilities on board the Iona. Fancy catching a film in the four-screen cinema complex? No problem. Prefer a cocktail in the Club House? The Iona’s skilled bartenders await you. As always, our experienced care team will be on-hand throughout the day to help you make the most of your experience.

One more day at sea before we arrive in Tenerife. Why not make the most of the many activities available to you on board. There are 13 entertainment venues throughout the ship, from up-beat bands playing poolside, to stunning acrobatics in the SkyDome. The choice is yours! After a hearty breakfast, today we cruise into the vibrant port of Tenerife. Tenerife is a true slice of paradise, offering a plethora of foodie treasures and tranquil sunsets painted with hues of pink, orange, and yellow. With countless experiences awaiting, from serene moments by sparkling waters and powder-soft sand, Tenerife promises both excitement and serenity.

Today we’ll arrive in Gran Canaria, the most naturally diverse island in the Canaries. You’ll get to see a little of the island’s natural beauty as we approach, before the ship docks in the Santa Catalina cruise terminal which boasts terrific access to the island’s cool capital, Las Palmas. The terminal is also only 100 metres down the road from Muelle, an extremely popular local shopping complex. If you want to head into the city centre, check out Vegueta, Las Palmas’ trendy old quarter. Prefer the beach? Playa de las Canteras is also within easy reach. You’ll be able to disembark at 8am and the ship won’t leave until 10 pm, giving you a whole day to experience charming Las Palmas.

Lanzarote captivates with its otherworldly natural beauty, defined by volcanoes, lava fields, and improbably-shaped rocks against the backdrop of black sand beaches and tropical palm-lined coasts. Recognized as a UNESCO Geopark, the island fascinates and mesmerizes visitors with its volcanic allure.

Iona will dock in Arrecife, the island’s capital, where you’ll have the entire day to explore its sun-washed plazas, cool bars, and atmospheric backstreets. For a taste of local culture, visit the Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo, featuring works by the island’s influential artist, César Manrique.

After three bustling days exploring ashore, we're certain you're eager to unwind and relish more of the ship's offerings today. Why not treat yourself and indulge in a pampering session at the onboard Spa? Complete with a hairdresser, it's the perfect opportunity to truly relax and rejuvenate while onboard.

Today we anchor in Cádiz, an ancient port city nestled in the Andalucia region of southwestern Spain, boasting a rich history dating back centuries. Renowned as the home of the Spanish Navy, the port flourished during the 16th century, serving as a vital base for exploration and trade during the Age of Discovery. With over 100 watchtowers peppering its skyline, including the iconic Torre Tavira, which historically served as a lookout post for spotting incoming ships, Cádiz stands as a testament to its maritime heritage and enduring legacy.

Welcome to your final port, the captivating city of Lisbon! Here, we have two days to immerse ourselves in all the wonders this historic city has to offer. As the capital of Portugal and one of the hottest destinations in Europe, Lisbon is renowned for its breathtaking beauty, boasting picturesque streets, charming squares, and iconic landmarks that rank among the finest on the continent.

As we approach the city, we'll cruise past some of its most iconic sights, including the majestic Belem Tower, the imposing Cristo Rei statue, and beneath the impressive suspension bridge that spans the Tagus River. Get ready to explore and discover the magic of Lisbon over the next two unforgettable days!

With so much to explore in this picturesque destination, today offers another opportunity to leisurely wander among its charming pastel-colored buildings and fully immerse yourself in the splendor of this enchanting city. Don't forget to indulge in one of its most delectable treats—the Custard Tarts are an absolute must-try!
