One of the world's most unique experiences: the Northern Lights, the mysterious dancing arcs, ripples and rays of light that cast an eerie glow across the Arctic sky. This Northern Lights voyage travels north along Norway’s dramatic coastline and cuts deep into the fjords and to the fringes of the Arctic Circle in search of the mysterious aurora borealis.
Your first port is Andalsnes, Norway. People have been cruising to Andalsnes for more than 120 years because of its stunning location. For, an Alpine town as well as a cruise port, Andalsnes nestles where the towering Romsdal Alps meet the northern end of the sparkling Romsdalfjord.
Enjoy overnight port stays in Honningsvagg, Alta & Tromso on your 16 night search for the Aurora Borealis on the luxurious P&O Aurora ship.

A day at sea is a fantastic day of relaxation. Start with a leisurely breakfast in your cabin before joining the rest of the group for a coffee or tea in the atrium. Listen to live music, or take part in some of the ships many on-board entertainments including bingo. There is always something going on, on Aurora.
The second sea-day as we cross the North Sea. Don't worry about the cold outside, for Aurora has the Neptune pool with a retractable roof! There is a chair-hoist, which the Limitless Care team can help operate for our guests.
A small, friendly town with shops and markets, Andalsnes is also close to the famous Trollstigen road. This leads through pretty villages, past scenic fjords and majestic mountain peaks and across the stone bridge over the cascading Stigfossen waterfall to the Trollvegen (Troll Wall) which - at nearly 6,000 feet - is the highest vertical drop in northern Europe.
Today we enjoy the best of all worlds in Norway's first-ever capital. Being one of the most popular Fjord cruise ports, here you can look south along the picturesque Trondheim fjord taking in the forest sights. Looking north, you can see the beginnings of the Arctic Ocean.
The Curzon Theatre. This impressive three tier theatre, is located at the very forward end of the ship hosts a variety of west-end style shows, comedians and live music. The perfect way to spend an evening!
Today we arrive in Honningsvaag for the first of our overnight stays in port. Honningsvag, has a small population of under 3000 inhabitants. While in Honningsvag you are at the most northern part of Finnmark in the famous Lapland region. The city centre is just a few hundred meter walk away from the dock, the Limitless Team will be on hand to visit the town.
Tonight is a great chance to catch a glimpse of the spectacular Northern Lights, wrap up warm and take in the stunning atmosphere on deck.
Today we arrive in Alta, Home to the Cathedral of the Northern Lights, this is one of the spots you're most likely to catch a glimpse of the polar light show. Other sights include Hjemmeluft, rock carvings that were discovered just 60 years ago that are estimated to be made between 1800 - 6200 years ago.
Today we remain in Alto for another night in port. Today is the perfect day to explore Alta. Alta homes the famous Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, guided tours are available. Accessible excursions are available at extra costs with P&O or potter and explore Alta with help from the Limitless Team.
This morning we wake up to the beautiful Alta again, the ship is ready to port early morning. So grab yourself a hearty breakfast with a window seat and relax as we take sail to our next port.
Tromso is our next port. You’re just 400km from the Arctic Circle in Tromsø, but there’s no need to get out your polar gear. Thanks to its position on the Gulf Stream, this lively city (said to have the greatest number of bars per capita in Norway) is relatively mild for its latitude. Such a fascinating town deserves time to explore, and so the ship will be docked here for 2-days!
Don't worry, you won't run out of things to do! The entertainment onboard the ship changes every day, with exciting new activities and shows to watch. Or simply relax in the piano bar with a cocktail or coffee.
Stavanger is our last port of call and a perfect introduction to the Norwegian coastline. Once a Viking stronghold, the city is famed for the beautiful wooden homes that dominate its historic centre. The cruise ship will dock just a 10-minute walk from the city centre, so you’ll be able to make the most of your time in this picturesque destination.
One last day of relaxation! After all that exploring and adventuring, enjoy a restful last day aboard. Check out the Retreat on Aurora (surcharges may apply) which has an step-in hydro-therapy pool!
Welcome back to Blighty! The Limitless Care team will be on hand to help you disembark and get to your transfer home. Our team will ensure you have the right support and facilities, back to your home address.
