A swimming pool hoist is like any other hoist used by those with disabilities to get in and out of a bed but is designed to provide access to pools instead. Hotels with accessible pools often use a hoist rather than a ramp as they're more versatile.
Swimming pool hoists consist of a chair and a mechanism to support weight which allows for easy manoeuvring. It enables wheelchair users to transfer to a separate seat which is then lowered into the pool.
